Join us for a hike at the Flat Island Preserve on Saturday, Sept 6 at 9am, hosted by Mike Flynn.

Mike says: "It's all in the woods and a beautiful hike with a river overlook and some wonderful moss-covered trails.  The entire loop is 3 miles, but we can make it shorter by cutting across on some trails mid-loop if that's what everyone wants to do.  I did the whole thing, and it took about 1 ½ hours.  There's No Pets signs, but there was no one else on the trail when I hiked it today.  There's plenty of parking and a restroom at the trailhead.

Owens Rd is a dirt road off of US 27, right across the street from the WQBQ AM 1410 Radio Station building.  Take Owens Rd all the way to the end to the trailhead parking.
