About the event

Our friends Linda Roberts and Katie Koehler have been invited to educate us on important transgender issues on Sunday, April 16 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. All are invited.

The location is the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Lake County, 1235 Mt Homer Road, Eustis, Florida. This church is certified as a Welcoming Congregation to the LGBTQIA+ community and is working toward more equality.

The class topic is Transgender Rights: Current Issues and Legislation. Specifically we will discuss the attacks on Transgender and Gender Diverse (TGD) individuals in society as exemplified by the hundreds of bills proposed by state legislatures that seek to limit the rights and health of TGD persons and the science, medicine and other resources that support our full and equal rights. To complete the discussion we will discuss recommendations as to what individuals can do to support our community in the face of these assaults.
